There will be a new daily crime show in syndication called "Crime Watch Daily" coming to U.S. syndicated markets. It will be hosted by Matt Doran, who has been described as "David Muir meets John Walsh" (he hosted an Australian AMW-esque show) and former AMW correspondent Michelle Sigona will also play a role. According to reports, “Crime Watch Daily” will feature a team of experienced reporters who travel across the country to uncover the stories that have been not been heard (including unsolved murders, courtroom drama, daily stings, missing persons and undercover investigations). “Crime Watch Daily’s” network of stations will serve as an “extended newsroom,” sharing resources and using local reporters to cover the stories in local markets all over the country. It sounds like a daily version of AMW meets Nightline. Wow I'm pretty excited for this and can't wait to see what cases get profiled. Hopefully a few fugitive stories can be featured as well.

I have been reading about this and it looks promising. Basically, the show will be a crime newsmagazine featuring an assortment of crime-related stories but I'm glad to hear that unsolved cases will be included in the mix. I also like the idea of it being shown in first-run syndication.

Show is debuting on Monday! It is in syndication so will be on a different channel in each market (In other words, could be on local CW affiliate in one city, the local Fox affiliate in another city, etc...), so please check your local listings for details. Their website lists cases, the Deer Island Baby Doe will be once case. Also, not on the site but I learned the search for Howard "Butch" Knight will be on the show, so there will at least be one fugitive case on this show. Set your DVR's! crimewatchdaily.com/

First case showed promise, it is sort of like the AMW format, but with mostly solved and/or investigation stories (they even had a segment called APB- one featured a 911 call from a boy who was hiding in a closet from burglars (they were later arrested), the other was an update about a missing Connecticut couple).
And thankfully, they said throughout the season they would show photos of fugitives wanted by law enforcement. They showed Robert Fisher's photo at the end, but it was very brief, just mentioned he was wanted for killing his family, and showed his age-enhanced photos (the show actually has a hotline number- although I forget what it is now.)
Would like to see more expanded stories on fugitives- if I could suggest anything from the first episode.

Second episode had Pat Lalalma as a reporter- also a former AMW correspondent. (I might be wrong but I don't think Michelle Sigona has appeared on the show just yet).
Also, they showed Raymond Abbott's wanted poster at the end of the episode (hotline number is 844-800-CRIME), so hopefully that is a regular segment at the end (wanted fugitive to end the broadcast.)

I think the wanted fugitive at the end of the show is a daily feature! All four episodes this week have had a "Wanted" segment at or not the end of the episode. (Today's show is Suzanne Berron- wanted by the LAPD for theft).
This is much needed especially since this is broadcast (non-cable).

So far I'm enjoying this show- I don't mean this as an insult but feels a bit like a TMZ-version of the crime genre in terms of the format- fast-paced, multiple stories, etc.
I will be honest and say I mainly watch the show with ideas for this site in mind- and also to keep up on who they air. So if it wasn't for this site, I probably wouldn't watch every episode but I would watch the show if I could.
So my only real complaint so far is it's five days a week, but for selfish reasons since basically it feels like I have 5 extra hours of homework each week and somehow have to find a way to fit that into my busy schedule lol.
