(Above photo credit: youreasttexas.com via Texas Department of Public Safety website) Fugitive Profile as of May 3rd, 2015 (information is according to Texas Department of Public Safety website): RACE: White SEX: Female DOB: 08/18/89 HEIGHT: 5'2" WEIGHT: 150 lbs. AKA: Iris Rodriguez Scars: Scars on leg and shoulder TIPS: Anyone with any information should contact the Texas Department of Public Safety at 1-800-252-TIPSUPDATE: As of January 14th, 2020 anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can also call or text"In Pursuit" on the Investigation Discovery channel at 833-378-7783 and/or submit a tip at the show's website: www.InPursuitTips.comIris Rodriguez is a rare alleged female child molester and a new member of the Texas Department of Public Safety's 10 Most Wanted fugitives list. Below is their description of her case: Iris Iliana RODRIGUEZ has strong ties to Laredo, Texas and Mexico. "RODRIGUEZ is wanted by authorities for having had improper contact with a juvenile victim on multiple occasions. The initial contact is believed to have occurred while RODRIGUEZ was working as a counselor for a CAPS (Child, Adolescent and Parent Services) program in Laredo. She later became employed at the Border Region Behavioral Health Center in Laredo as a CAPS Counselor, which allowed her to visit the victim at school under the pretext of offering guidance and support for the child's behavioral issues. On January 22, 2015, the Webb County Sheriff's Office issued warrants for RODRIGUEZ's arrest for Indecency with a Child (3 counts), Unlawful Restraint (1 count), and Harassment (3 counts). When law enforcement officials arrived at RODRIGUEZ's residence to arrest her, they discovered she had absconded. It is believed that she fled in order to avoid prosecution. Since then, additional warrants have been issued. On March 20, 2015, the 406th District Court in Webb County issued warrants for RODRIGUEZ's arrest for Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact (3 counts) and Unlawful Restraint Less Than 17 Years of Age (1 count)." Thoughts? Rodriguez's alleged victim is a 13-year old girl. So this case is unique for a few reasons. We usually see mostly male molesters on the news, and usually if there is a rare female child molester, a male is the victim (from the rare cases I've seen). What makes this case even more serious is that as a guidance counselor, Rodriguez was in a position of trust. It is why catching her is so important, since unlike many other molesters who will have to assimilate themselves into a neighborhood and earn a family's trust, Rodriguez has a skill set for employment in areas where children may be present. dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted/fugitiveDetails.aspx?id=276www.kgns.tv/news/headlines/Search-Continues-for-Counselor-Accused-of-Indecency-with-a-Child-290404381.htmlwww.lmtonline.com/front-news/article_3f29e39a-bb9f-11e4-a585-1fa22b6796b0.htmlAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

The only female child molesters that didn't have a male accomplice from AMW that I can recall were Martha Gomez (Direct capture in 2003), and 2008 15 Seconds Of Shamer Luz Diaz (still wanted?).
Even though Iris Rodriguez is a woman, that doesn't prevent her from inflicting serious physical and mental harm on any child she decides to abuse. Since Laredo, Texas borders Mexico, she most likely is at least travelling back and forth between Laredo and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

I was combing over once again the fugitives I couldn't confirm and have Luz Diaz listed as "probably still wanted" since I couldn't find her in the California inmate search system. I've decided to lower my requirements for profiling fugitives a tiny bit since we're a discussion site and not law enforcement. Although there is always a possibility a fugitive was caught and found not guilty, or caught but not yet on trial, or in prison in another state I feel that A) Usually there's good evidence against the fugitive in order to be on AMW's website or show in the first place, so I feel pretty good about the conviction potential, negating the possibility B), if they've yet to on trial, we can always find out later if convicted and C) It's rare they're sent to other states and even if so they should be found in an overall system. Finally, we're discussing cases that were on AMW. Not technically "chasing" them even though we've now set up ways to send in tips. Wondering if they're still wanted can be part of a discussion. So even though I'm only 70 percent sure as opposed to 90-100 on Luz Diaz, I'd feel free to make a thread about her if you wanted.

I think Capture #819, Teri Anderson, also acted alone in her sex crimes against her own sons. By the time she was identified as the first Internet Jane Doe, she was in prison on newer child molestation charges.

I don't mean to judge a book by its' cover but I can't picture Iris Rodriguez enaging in a shootout- although you never know with fugitives especially in Mexico- what if a drug dealer was harboring her etc... This is of course not to condone the awful crimes she's accused of and hopefully she faces justice now.
