The case of Jill Dando was aired a few times on AMW. Dando was the host of Crimewatch UK in the 1990's (or one of the hosts), a true crime show that was said to be one of the inspirations for America's Most Wanted. (I was going to say British version of AMW, but really it's the other way around since Crimewatch came first). In any case, Dando was murdered in 1999.
A writer claims he knows who killed Jill Dando, and it is related to a story she was going to do on a crime syndicate run by a "Mr. Big"
It seems a man named Barry George was convicted in her murder, sent to prison, but then released after a re-trial. Dando's family asked to not re-open the case. And considering the case seemed "closed" and the person police believed responsible was freed, I didn't think about doing a thread, not out of not caring, but because I put priority on confirmed active investigations but if anyone wants to do one, feel free to.
It is an interesting theory as to what happened to Dando. But who knows if it's enough to re-open the case.
