While I was browsing the Unsolved Mysteries records for cases to profile (and ended up doing a thread on the Joyce McLain murder), I tried looking at the archived case profiles on the official fan site only for my computer to repeatedly say that outside hackers may use this page for phishing attacks. Now I'm using the fan wikia page but has anyone else had this problem? It seems weird since their facebook page is well updated so they would hopefully know if their site security has been compromised.
Note: Just to be on the safe side, if your computer/phone doesn't have good anti-virus software, then don't check the archived pages. I just want to know if this is an actual problem or if my computer is being weird.

Are you sure it was the site itself and not some tricky pop-up ad? We've seen in the Sam Jain/Daniel Sundin case such things happening.
In any case, always good to be on the safe side.

Oddly it only happened in the site case archives, not the news stories on the site. Who knows. Thankfully we still have the UM wiki as a case database.
