Darren Williamson Jr. is the FBI's latest addition to it's list of most wanted alleged human traffickers. The following is their wanted poster description of his case:
"Darren Williamson, Jr., is wanted for his alleged involvement in the commercial sex trafficking of a minor. In April of 2013, during the NCAA Final Four Men’s Basketball tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, a 15-year-old female victim of a sex trafficking organization allegedly run by Darren Williamson, Jr., and three other adult suspects, was recovered. Although the three other suspects have since been arrested, Williamson, Jr., remains a fugitive.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Darren Williamson, Jr., on January 22, 2014, in the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, after he was charged with conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking."
Thoughts? I thought now was the perfect time to add this case since we are once again in the middle of the NCAA tournament. Williamson Jr. has ties to NYC and Miami, but I also remember Archie Byrd was able to hide in plain sight for years in the state he was wanted out of, Georgia, for years, and he was only arrested because a fluke jaywalking stop. So it wouldn't surprise me if Williamson remains somewhere in the Atlanta area as well.
P.S Even though Las Vegas is considered the #1 hot spot for sex trafficking, is it just me, or are half the wanted sex traffickers from Atlanta or at the very least the state of Georgia lately?
