Joel Sosa Cardenas is wanted for his alleged involvement in a transnational drug trafficking operation that routinely shipped hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia, through Mexico and Southern California, to Canada, and other locations in the United States.
On September 17, 2024, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Joel Sosa Cardenas in the United States District Court, Central District of California, Los Angeles, California, after he was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Conspiracy to Export Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking.

Thoughts? As of today’s posting date (October 18th, 2024), Cardenas is still listed on the fbi website as part of their most wanted criminal enterprise investigation fugitives. Also, I am placing him in the National Media fugitives section since this story made national media due to the main ringleader allegedly being a famous former Olympic snowboarder from Canada named Ryan James Wedding.
