From wmar2news.com: BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police have issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old John Callis, a man accused of assaulting two 23-year-old men wearing Commanders jerseys on Sunday. The assault was captured on video following the Ravens' 30-23 victory over the Commanders at M&T Bank Stadium. Callis was seen in the video walking down the street and spotting the men in the opposite direction. He walked towards them and began assaulting them. Police say he is currently wanted for first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault. Anyone with additional information on this incident can contact Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland at 1-866-7Lockup.www.wmar2news.com/local/police-man-wanted-in-connection-to-brutal-assault-of-two-men-wearing-commanders-jerseysNBC news article on case: www.nbcnews.com/news/rcna175991 Thoughts? I am placing Callis in the National Media section since this case has gone viral due to it being in the realm of the national sports world. Not all football fans are like this alleged jackass. I watch and love football and there are unfortunately fans who take things too far and at the end of the day it’s all just a game. As far as I can tell, Callis is still at large as of today’s posting date (October 18th, 2024), since this is a national media story with decent publicity, so based on that I would advise him to turn himself in since he will be caught.
