From arkadelphian.com:
A repeat sex offender wanted for the rape of a young boy is likely on the lam in the Dallas, Texas, area.
Duryl Wayne Mixon Jr. faces a rape charge in Clark County. An indictment filed this week alleges that Mixon, 43, is responsible for the rape of a prepubescent male.
Law enforcement became involved in the case in July 2024 when the victim relayed to a relative that he had been sodomized, sometime between February and April 2024. A subsequent interview at a child safety center in Northwest Arkansas led authorities to charge Mixon with the rape, which allegedly occurred at his residence in Clark County. Mixon’s last known address is listed as a Texas Road residence in Killingsworth Mobile Home Park.
Mixon is a Level 2 sex offender with a history dating to 1999, when he was charged in Washington County for two counts of sexual abuse for having sexual contact with a juvenile male and female. For those convictions Mixon received an imposed sentence of 120 months.
He was convicted again in Washington County in 2011 for failing to comply with sex offender reporting requirements.
In 2014 Mixon was charged in Benton County for failure to register as a sex offender. A judge there handed down a 180-month suspended imposition of sentence for that conviction.
In addition to the new rape charge in Clark County, Mixon also faces the charge of failure to comply with registration requirements.
By 2023 Mixon was living in Clark County, where he is registered under the jurisdiction of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. While in Clark County he bought a vehicle, which he had not registered at the time of an October traffic stop in Arkadelphia, nor did he report his change of employment while he worked at a Caddo Valley gas station.
Warrants have been issued for Mixon’s arrest on both charges. Investigators say they believe he is now living in or near Dallas. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 870-246-2222.
