From koin.com: PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Salem authorities have identified the man suspected of shooting three people during a dispute in February 2023, but say he remains at large more than a year later. Fermin Flores, 33, currently has a warrant for his arrest on a charge of second-degree murder during a “verbal dispute between several men” on Feb. 13, 2023. Officers had responded to “multiple calls of gunfire” near Arbon Drive and Vallejo Street NE, where they found three wounded people — two adult men and one teenage girl. Flores was nowhere to be found. One of the men, 27-year-old Alejandro Silva-Ramirez of Salem, died at the scene while the other man and teenager survived their injuries, according to police. Evidence eventually led police to Flores, who also identifies as Alejandro Chavez Mando, several months later. Authorities described the suspect as 5-feet-3 with black hair and brown eyes, adding that he has a slender build and typically wears his head shaved with facial hair. Anyone with information about Flores is encouraged to contact Salem police. www.koin.com/news/crime/salem-police-seek-suspect-shooting-2023/Thoughts? Based on the above article posting date, Flores was still at large at least as of August 11th, 2024. 2 dead, 1 wounded, including an attempt to kill a teenage youth. Even with whatever hike in violent crime Portland could be experiencing this decade, this one stands out as one of the few worst they've had to deal with.

Just wanted to state violent crime rates in Portland as with a large number of major U.S. cities have continued to decrease in the first half of 2024. It doesn’t make this case any less bad but I wanted to provide clarity. www.kptv.com/2024/08/12/violent-crime-rates-decrease-portland-other-major-us-cities/

Typically compared to other major cities on the west Coast Portland Oregon usually not that dangerous compared to cities like San Francisco or Oakland or los Angeles Portland main crimes are mostly narcotics and a few homicides but given all the events from 2020 to mid 2023 with the George Floyd protests looting attacks on government buildings COVID I mean Portland is pretty chill but the reason that crime ramped up with a huge number of factors let's just hope everything will stay chill for a while

Outlawtaco, respectfully, I already addressed 912th’s statement and that should have been that. This thread should be about the manhunt for Flores. I just wanted to quickly make perspective and get back to the case.
