Jonathan Soto is wanted for the homicide of Michael Gidewon, a well known nightclub owner. Authorities say that Gidewon kicked Soto out of the nightclub because of Soto's intoxication. Authorities then allege that Soto waited for Gidewon to leave the nightclub and then shot him to death.
Soto has just been added to the Atlanta Police Department's most wanted list. A significant reward was offered for Soto's arrest initially, but all we currently know is that a tip to Greater Atlanta Crime Stoppers is eligible for a $2000 reward if it leads to Soto's arrest. Thoughts? As of today, July 17, 2024, Soto is still at large since he has just been added to Atlanta's most wanted list. I have been frustrated in recent years with law enforcement mostly unwilling to publicize fugitives who have been wanted for at least one year. The primary exception is if the case is considered to be notorious. So it is appreciated that the Atlanta Police Department still wants Soto to be arrested and is asking for the help from the public.
Soto should be considered extremely dangerous since even though he was intoxicated, he was still able to lie in wait until he allegedly killed Michael Gidewon. I do hope that this publicity can lead to justice and accountability for the family of Gidewon.
