SHREVEPORT, La. -- Shreveport police are asking for the public's help in locating a man they suspect in a deadly shooting of a teenager at a Shreveport park Saturday afternoon.
Jermaine Choate, 19, is wanted for second-degree murder. He's considered armed and dangerous.
The shooting claimed the life of Diedrick D. James, 14.
Police said the shooting at Bilberry Park on Lakeshore Drive resulted from an argument between Choate and James over a pair of headphones.
Anyone with information about Choate's whereabouts is asked to call the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

Thoughts? As far as I can tell, Choate is still at large as of today’s posting date (July 17tj, 2024), since the above article is from only a week or so ago with no updates about a capture that I could find online since. However, if that status has since changed and/or changes in the future, anyone is more than welcome to let us know if we don’t find out first.
