From ktla.com:
Authorities are searching for a 37-year-old woman believed responsible for the murder of a man in Lancaster earlier this year.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says Erika Zimmerman is the main suspect in the April 11 killing of a man on the 16000 block of Valeport Avenue.
She was previously identified by the Sheriff’s Department as a person of interest and authorities were asking for the public’s help to locate her for questioning.
Zimmerman is suspected in the death of 46-year-old Louie Martin Cervantes, who was hit and killed by a vehicle during an alleged domestic dispute.
A week after Cervantes’ death, officials released images of the 2001 Ford F-350 believed to have been driven by the person of interest, identified only as “Erica,” a white woman in her 30s who was known to frequent the Lake Los Angeles area of Lancaster.
On Monday, the Sheriff’s Department released an image and description of Zimmerman, as well as an additional area she may be found.
Officials say Zimmerman is about 5 feet 3 inches and weighs about 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and blonde hair.
In addition to the Lake L.A. area, she is also known to frequent the town of Rosamond in Kern County.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the LASD Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.

Thoughts? As of today’s posting date (July 5th, 2024), there is still a posting on the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page asking for information on Zimmerman’s whereabouts. Also, if I can address something. There are numerous replies on social media asking how do cops know Zimmerman didn’t act in self-defense. While all fugitives are entitled to the presumption of innocence, and this site’s number one goal is to protect women and children, I am tired of the hypocrisy when it comes to female fugitives. If the roles were reversed, no one would be defending Cervantes. It seems no one ever wants to believe a female is ever capable of wrongdoing. Just because they’re pretty doesn’t mean they can’t be evil. Everyone always wants to think they took their kids for good reason or killed their spouse for good reason. Erika despite being a fugitive is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. However, she also isn’t innocent just because she’s a woman (and let’s be honest- I wonder based on the racist nature of the internet if there would be as many people defending her if she was black or Hispanic and not a relatively attractive blonde white woman). Also, at the moment she is wanted and accused of a pretty violent murder where she ran over her partner with a car. So let’s all give her equal treatment there and assume she is dangerous just like a male fugitive and anyone who spots her should be careful and not approach but do the right thing and call authorities. Sorry for my longest rant ever
