Ali Abid is wanted for the 2011 murder of Greg Brown, a private investigator who was about to serve him divorce papers. Brown was found in the trunk of his own car in a mall parking lot. AMW's September 28th, 2012 airing shows Abid at airport screening boarding a flight for Istanbul,Turkey and police say he has made his way to Baghdad, Iraq.
Abid was by all accounts a man going through divorce and mounting debts and going over the edge when he allegedly murdered Brown.
Despite him getting caught if he indeed did flee to Iraq seeming impossible, Brown's family will not give up, and Abid's case, despite being a relatively brief profile on AMW, is a high publicity case in the Beltway area because of their crusade.
IMO, it will take a lot of cooperation between the US and Iraqi authorities, the same way they cooperated with India to nab Lakshminivana Nerusu, to catch Abid.
Obviously, to say US-Iraqi relations have been tenuous have been an understatement, but I'd say this scenario is obviously not nearly as unrealistic as when Saddam Hussein was in power:
