In addition to my time here I also look at various aspects of the criminal justice system including the death penalty now where you support or not it is a very polarized topic in my birth state of Florida its very active but my state of North Carolina has had it blocked do to a technicality about physicians being involved they must be present during executions but this isn't about north Carolina it's about Indiana the state of Indiana has not performed a execution since 2009 but this is separate from Trump's execution spree at the federal execution site at the federal prison in terre haute but the Indiana attorney general Todd rokita and governor Eric Holcomb is seeking to restart it with a fort Wayne man who killed 4 people also Utah is also restarting executions and they haven't done any since 2010 I would like to hear thoughts on this from our forum members particular from the hoosier state

Tbh I am tired of discussing the death penalty on this forum- sans maybe the Innocence Project section- as I’ve stated my opinions multiple times on here- I’m for having it but in general against using it because of the potential for executing someone actually innocnet it and as long as someone gets life with no parole I feel it is still a harsh enough punishment. I feel sometimes we get a little too obsessed with the death penalty tbh. Also unfortunately not to insult our members but I just wanted to let you know in advance that making threads asking for our opinions on topics may result in no replies as although this forum is good on commenting and sleuthing and cases it isn’t so much an “interactive” forum hence why we had to stop doing stuff like best capture contests and member dirty dozen lists and stuff. This really isn’t a “participation” site. You may get some replies on this after all, just wanted to warn you to not be disappointed if you don’t and for future reference  |

As a resident of Indiana I support our governor finally deciding to take action and carry out the sentences of these evil men the man your talking about Joseph Corcoran killed 4 men including his own brother and his sister's fiance he's also the prime suspect in the murder of his own parents but was acquitted because the jury thought the evidence was circumstancial

Also Cochran does sound like a horrific monster and also the next execution on that may have a date on the gurney for killing a beech city police officer hopefully justice will be served

Well Joseph corcoran has an execution date set for December 18th for the 1997 quadruple murder in fort Wayne Indiana he's set to receive a lethal injection at the Indiana State prison in Michigan city Indiana the maximum security prison on the coast of lake Michigan in Laporte county alongside with Utah it would be the first execution in over a decade 13 for Utah and 14 for Indiana I will update if it happens
