JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a woman and are searching for a man in connection to an armed robbery that injured a child.
Detective Tommie Brown said Alexis Jones, 20, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence.
Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Marquix Wilson, 20. He’s wanted for aggravated assault, armed robbery and auto theft.
The incident happened in the 3600 block of Jayne Avenue on Saturday, June 1.
Brown said the victims were approached by three men who robbed them at gunpoint. The suspects were driving a black four-door vehicle, believed to be a Chrysler 200.
According to police, the suspects stole the victims’ white 2006 Chevy Impala. The tag number for the vehicle is HPU 633.
Police said a child was injured during the incident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
