HOUSTON – Investigators on Tuesday released a suspect sketch in the shooting death of a Brinks guard near the Galleria.
A $100,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.
According to the FBI, it was Feb. 12 when a Brinks worker was making a delivery at the Capital One Bank on Westeimer near Fountain View. Three armed robbers wearing armor and face-shields approached and opened fire on Alvin Kinney and another Brinks employee. The assailants then backed up a stolen Ford F-250 and quickly took several bags of cash before fleeing the scene.
Kinney died at the scene. The other Brinks worker was unharmed.
Authorities said the suspects' stolen truck, a photo of which was also released, was later found abandoned nearby on Bering Drive.
A billboard campaign in the case from Texas to Louisiana has been launched. Investigators believe the gunmen may be traveling between the two states and may be responsible for other crimes.
According to the FBI, the man depicted in Tuesday's sketch was one of the three gunmen and was also the driver of the stolen pickup. The FBI said the white pickup was stolen in May 2014 from a business in Baytown. It later had the blue and white decals with the wording "HRT Houston Road Transit JV" on the driver's side and rear tailgate. The decals were added after its May theft, the FBI said.

Thoughts? We've seen on AMW multiple times unfortunately just how dangerous an armored guard job can be. And it will still continue to piss me off when a guy gets killed just for doing his job. Hopefully that sketch is good and it leads to an arrest in the case.
