(Above photo credit: kron4.com) From kron4.com: Police are searching for a man suspected of killing two people inside a Livermore hotel on Saturday. The Livermore Police Department identified the suspect as Yonston Vazquez, 30, of Oakland. On April 27, authorities responded to a report of a shooting at La Quinta Inn near Interstate 580 on the city’s east side. Livermore PD officers located two gunshot victims inside a room at the hotel. One victim was a 26-year-old female from Oakland. The other victim was a 21-year-old man from Hayward. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. Vazquez was identified as a suspect by Livermore PD’s Criminal Investigations Bureau, and it was later learned that he knew one of the victims, according to authorities. Police have not located Vazquez and said he “should be considered armed and dangerous.” Four photos of Vazquez were released by police in hopes that the public could provide information on his whereabouts. The two deaths are the city’s first and second homicides of the year, officials said. The identities of the victims were not released by police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Livermore Police Department anonymous tip line at (925)-371-4790www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/livermore-police-search-for-double-homicide-suspect/Thoughts? As of today’s posting date (May 3rd, 2024), there is still a posting on the Livermore Police Department’s Facebook page asking for information on Vazquez’s whereabouts that is yet to be edited or updated with any news of a capture. Additionally, the 21-year-old victim has been identified as Christopher Vera and the 26-year-old victim has been identified as Lizabeth Rodriguez. m.facebook.com/story.php?id=100064538059141&story_fbid=833570488804212www.ktvu.com/news/livermore-hotel-shooting-victims-identifiedAdmin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Are you serious 😮 wow he claimed the key was lost and killed two people and it could have been avoided had the clerk just did his job in my opinion they are just as negligent and the hotel worker should face punishment for there negligent behavior and I hope the victims family at least get some litigation I know it won't bring them back this Brutal crime could have been prevented 😡

He also allegedly reached out to Christopher Vera's family members to try to justify his actions- claiming they struggled with a gun and it went off- but this obviously now shows premeditation.
And yeah a guy this determined- sadly Christopher and Lizabeth might have eventually been killed by him somehow at some other place- but that's still no excuse for the lack of security at the hotel/motel. I've had similar jobs in the past, and having the same relatively common last name wouldn't be enough proof for me. Your full name needs to be in the system along with identification. And if you don't have an ID, then you need to find a way to get in contact with your other occupant. If all avenues fail, it's too bad or call the manager. I'm not normally an advocate of people losing their jobs, but in my opinion this clerk was an idiot and should be gone.
The most important thing is locating Vazquez now though.

Thank you for agreeing with my point it could have been avoided and the fact that he tried to justify his actions just pisses me off more

It’s my fault because it’s a saying I’ve constantly used on this forum since I first started it but I’m realizing now guys like Vazquez are not ticking time bombs- they are bombs that already went off that could explode again.
The fact that this guy stalked his victims and went out of his way to allegedly kill them is extremely frightening

Yeah I agree the fact that he is deluded to the point where he actually contacted the victims family and say the gun just went off is disgusting enough but he also stalked them makes him even more dangerous than other cases we have in a long time honestly this level of horrific savagery reminds me of Brian ontiveros in the way he contacted the victims family it's almost like a sick twisted way of playing head games and not to mention the brutality they inflicted on people they supposedly "cared" about is just friggin appalling Vasquez needs to be apprehended asap this dude not only has shown to be a unhinged psychopath with his current charges but I feel he is a huge risk to law enforcement and civilians alike

Louisiana is a very possible location alongside east Texas lot of blue collar jobs and not many questions asked especially in ranch hands and oil industry or construction work or farm labor but I could see him in Louisiana Texas or Florida
