Albertino Castro Flores is wanted for the homicide of 70-year old Robert Stoneman. Authorities allege that Albertino along with potential accomplices broke into Robert's home. Albertino's fingerprint was found near the smashed window. Albertino found Robert's shotgun and allegedly shot Robert to death as he confronted the burglar(s).
In 1992, authorities got a tip that Albertino had been seen in a specific location in Mexico. Mexican authorities refused to look into it. Albertino is believed to travelled between the US and Mexico over the years.
Additionally in July of 1991, an elderly woman named Ellen Kerrison was also murdered while interrupting a burglary in the Fallbrook/Bonsall area. Her case was still in unsolved as of 2005 with no further news updates since. Albertino is not a suspect in that case, but Robert had reportedly been the victim of another burglary a week before his homicide.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 if you have any information on Albertino Castro Flores's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As of today, April 26, 2024, Albertino has a listed PC 187 (murder) warrant in San Diego County's warrants database. I checked PACER and did not see a UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for him. The online records may not go back that far however.
With there being potentially more than one person involved in Robert's homicide and a potential series of burglaries, Albertino should be at the least interviewed regarding Ellen Kerrison's case. I am assuming that it remains unsolved (no media reports since 2005). I realize that Mexico was not interested in arresting Albertino in 1992, but 30 years later they would be more willing to look into this. Extradition relations have improved significantly between the US and Mexico in recent years.
I hope that Robert's family will get justice and accountability in their loved one's case. I also hope for the same for Ellen Kerrison's family as well (if that case is still unsolved).
