SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is wanted for questioning by Spring Lake Police regarding the death of a woman.
On Friday at 10 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Green St. in Spring Lake regarding a death. After arriving, they found Nakhia Wimberly, 40, of Spring Lake, inside the residence.
Spring Lake detectives responded to the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. Wimberly’s death has been confirmed as a homicide.
Detectives are trying to find Patrick Antron Belk, 33, for questioning. Police said they believe he has “vital information” that would help police with the case.
Police said he was last known to be in Spring Lake on Friday.
