Height: 5’6”
Weight: 130 lbs.
Eyes: Dark
Hair: Black

Arvind Sinha is wanted for sexual assault out of California. He was aired on Unsolved Mysteries in 1994, however I'm not aware if he was ever profiled on AMW.

In January of 1992, Arvind Sinha was working as a doctor in San Diego, even though several woman had claimed that Singh had sexually assaulted them. The California State Medical Board ruled that Sinha could keep his license because there were no witnesses to the alleged sexual assaults. However that all changed when a 19-year old woman came to Sinha to treat her flu symptoms, which led to him sexually assaulting her in the hospital room. A week later, the woman's parents reported her injuries and Sinha was arrested, a detective quoting that Sinha constantly said "how interesting" when she was describing the charges against him. However, Sinha posted a $175,000 bail the next day and soon fled.

Thoughts? With no new news articles I'm assuming this manhunt has become very cold as far as leads go, however a search of the San Diego County warrants search confirms that Arvind Sinha is still at large. I don't know where Sinha was born but he's of Indian ethnicity so it's always possible that he fled to India. Wherever he is, he still needs to be held accountable for his sexual assault charges.

It's Dr. Zahudil islam and Steven Clifford all over again. I assume he fled to India which is why it's been so long. Also, sadly, he probably found employment as a Doctor there or wherever he went. Fugitives with a known skill set for a profession are much harder to catch for this reason- they won't be going around looking for odd jobs to bring scrutiny.

Sinha still has warrants show up in San Diego's public access wanted search website as of 12/21/2017.

However, I did notice two odd things:

1. According to Unsolved Wiki, Unsolved Mysteries has stated that they no longer have contact information regarding the law enforcement agency that is handling Sinha's case, despite his still being at large.

2. Sinha no longer has a page on the Unsolved Mysteries website. Someone commented on the page about Mahfuz Huq asking why and UM replied with the same reason the Wiki fan page did as to why they removed him.

I am assuming the San Diego Police Department and/or San Diego Crime Stoppers are still the best places to contact if you have a tip, but if anyone has any specific helpful information please feel free to let us know.

As of today, November 6, 2021, Arvind Sinha still has a local arrest warrant in the San Diego County court records database. Unfortunately, a search of PACER records shows the 1992 UFAP case for him was dismissed without prejudice in 2011. No explanation was given, but I'm fearing that he's in an overseas nation where he can't be extradited. His archived FBI poster mentions ties to India and Russia.
