SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
The Sacramento Police Department released a photo of a man suspected of killing a woman on Sunday.
The suspect, Dominique Broadt, is wanted in connected to a homicide that happened in the 6100 block of Ventura Street. Broadt is described as a 32-year-old man around 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes
Officers were responding to a welfare check in south Sacramento when they heard the gunshots. Responders then set up a perimeter.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office said Rama Alsarraj, 34, was killed in the shooting.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic violence incident.
Anyone with information regarding the investigation or Broadt's whereabouts is asked to contact the dispatch center at 916-808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-HELP (4357). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
