GOLDEN GATE, Fla. —
The Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) has issued an arrest warrant for a suspect following the Golden Gate double stabbing that happened early Sunday morning.
The warrant charges Vicente Ramirez, 33, of Naples, with second-degree murder.
Deputies responded to El Catrin Sports Bar and Nightclub, 12275 Collier Boulevard, after two people were reportedly stabbed.
CCSO said one man who goes by Amado was stabbed nearly seven times in the neck and upper torso. Another man, Elvin Varela Luque, was also stabbed several times in the abdomen and back–no word on his condition today.
Both victims were taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center via helicopter for treatment. According to CCSO, Amado went into cardiac arrest during air transport and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The medical examiner's office ruled Amado's death a homicide.
CCSO also said they located a small baggie containing a white powdery substance at the crime scene.
Detectives said Ramirez is a convicted felon from California. He can be described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also has "LA" tattooed on his right thumb.
Anyone who can provide information regarding Ramirez and his location should contact CCSO at (239) 252 - 9300.

Thoughts? As of today’s posting date (March 5th, 2024), there is still a posting on the Collier County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page asking for information on Ramirez’s whereabouts that is yet to be edited or updated with any news of a capture. I do not see Ramirez in official Florida warrants online search yet but I am assuming that is because of the recency of the case. Additional articles also state Ramirez was convicted of home invasion robbery when he lived in California.

Update: After our initial posting, Vicente’s younger brother, Juan Emanuel Ramirez, was named as an additional suspect in this case
