Jefferson Parish homicide detectives have arrested four people and are searching for a fifth in connection to the shooting death of a Waggaman man two weeks ago.
Tommy Encalade, 24, of Lafitte, is wanted on warrants for second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and obstruction of justice, said Sgt. Brandon Veal, spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
He is accused in the Feb. 16 death of Jeremy Norrman.
Marlon Borras, 21, of Lafitte, was arrested Tuesday and booked him with being a principal to second-degree murder, armed robbery and obstruction of justice, according to jail records.
Johnney Cates Jr., 37, and Seth Fridley, 35, were arrested Feb. 21, and booked with obstruction of justice in the case, according to court records.
And Booker McKinley, 57, was taken into custody on the day of the shooting, jail records said. He was booked with conspiracy to commit simple robbery, simple robbery, obstruction of justice failure to seek assistance for an injured person.
Norrman arrived at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero about 4:15 a.m. on Feb. 16 suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg, Veal said. Despite medial treatment, Norrman died of his injuries.
The Sheriff's Office has released few other details about the homicide, including where Norrman is believed to have been shot and whether he was the intended target of the robbery conspiracy mentioned in the suspects' charges.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tommy Encalade is asked to call the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Homicide division at 504-364-5300. The public can also call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-7867. Callers do not have to give their names or testify and can earn a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an indictment.

Thoughts? As far as I can tell, Encalade is still at large as of today’s posting date (March 4th, 2024), since the above article is from only two days ago with no updates about a capture that I could find online since. Of course, if anyone has any past present or future updates before we find out first they are always more than welcome to let us know.
