Police were called to a home in Warsaw for a welfare check Nov. 7 and found Cheryl Cook, 53, dead inside the home. An autopsy determined she had died by strangulation. Multiple law enforcement agencies across the country have been looking for Michael Bellaire, 41, who they believe had been living with Cook. According to the Wyoming County District Attorney's Office, Bellaire's last known location was crossing into Mexico in Cook's gray 2012 Toyota Corolla. He also allegedly stole Cook's credit cards. Warsaw police obtained an arrest warrant Feb. 12 for Bellaire on charges of murder, strangulation, tampering with physical evidence and two counts of grand larceny.
