His name is Jacob Dean Smart. And he’s linked to dozens of incidents and wanted in at least 7 cases — in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. He’s a 38 year old white male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing five foot eleven inches, and weighing two hundred pounds. He follows his victims home and breaks into their residences later. Once he’s inside this home, he steals a firearm …and some panties — which he’s known for taking from his stalking victims. He’s also not afraid to go back to a crime scene — several times — to instill fear in his victims. Police say he’s known to use drugs and is considered armed and very dangerous. Thankfully no one has been hurt yet but with so many houses broken into it is definitely concerning. I located Mr smart running across interstate 5 at 630 am in Kalama Washington and notified the police and he was located and apprehended after a short standoff with swat team and local law enforcement. He is now booked into the cowlitz county jail in Longview Washington. God put me right where he needed me.

Glad to see that this creep was taken off the streets.
I know some folks (not anyone here) may not think him being an underwear thief is a big deal but if you look up a lot of serial rapists/killers, you'll see many of them started out with breaking into homes and stealing women's clothing before slowly but surely moving their way up to preying on actual humans.
The fact he was stalking some of the women he stole from IMO further drives the point home this guy was a killer waiting to happen.
Thank goodness he was caught before that happened.
Hopefully he will be locked up for a long time to come so if there is a time he's released, it will be when he is less likely to hurt others.

Some of AMW’s best captures aren’t just those wanted for terrible crimes but those who get captured before they become a serial offender of a terrible crime. Not that I condone one murder but capturing someone wanted for “only” one murder when there were indications they were a potential serial killer for example. At first this case seems comedic but Smart seemed like he was planning something and at the very least could have become a serial rapist if not unfortunately worse if not for eskimodad08. Sorry for talking about you in third person if you’re reading this but you’re right that God put you where you needed to be!

I'm a big fan of Candice Delong and she mentioned in a recent podcast of hers that an early warning sign many serial killers showed before they committed violent crimes was the things Smart was accused of doing.
As you said Scumhunter, at first this sounds like a silly case AMW shouldn't have aired but IMO, it's clear this guy was getting worse with each crime he committed and it was a question of when, not if he killed someone.
John and Callahan clearly felt the same way which is why they aired his story.
Thank goodness eskimodad08 saw AMW and was able to stop him before that happened.
