Fredy Escamilla-Lopez is wanted for the homicide of 19-month old Maya Escamilla. Authorities say that Fredy was driving when he allegedly went off the road and onto the sidewalk where he crashed into a block wall. Fredy took Maya and a nine-year old girl out of the vehicle and then fled the scene. The nine-year old suffered minor injuries but Maya tragically died on March 2.
Criminal charges for second degree murder, reckless driving, child abuse and duty to stop at the scene of an accident were filed on October 16. A warrant was then issued for Fredy's arrest.

Thoughts? As of today, January 10, 2024, Fredy has a warrant flag in Las Vegas's court records database. I am going to be really outraged if I find out that Fredy was Maya's father.
I hope that Maya's family will get the justice and accountability they deserve.
