On the Cook County Wanted list, you will find infamous AMW and FBI fugitive Fidel Urbina (known by his alias of Lorenzo Maes on the site). If you look at some of the other names, you will also find a pretty despicable alleged fugitive in his own right, Vicente Ortiz, who is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year old girl. The following is the Cook County Police website description:
"Ortiz, a convicted felon began sexually assaulting the victim when he was 52 and she was 12, until she turned 14. He threatened to kill her if she reported the incidents. Ortiz was sentenced to 35 yrs in absentia after jumping bond. Previously Ortiz was convicted in Houston of the attempted murder of his former girlfriend after he shot her and permanently blinded her when she tried to cut off their relationship."
Thoughts? I put Illinois as the waned state since that's where the assault charge is from but the US Marshals Service out of Western Texas also lists him. I assume perhaps the charge meant he violated parole but it's just an assumption.
I realize "Mexico" is a popular option among us, but it's always more likely when the fugitive is actually from Mexico. Then again Ortiz was in Texas and wound up in Illinois.
