Sergio Tapia Zendejas is wanted for the homicide of his supervisor, 40-year old Jiorge Vargas Vasquez. According to Newspapers.com archives, Sergio allegedly shot Jiorge to death because of an affair that Jiorge was having with Sergio's wife. Sergio is believed to have fled to Mexico.

Thoughts? As of today, November 20, 2023, Sergio's case in Santa Barbara County's court records database is still in warrant status with no events since 1998. I checked PACER and did not see a UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for Sergio.
I hope Jiorge's family will get the justice and answers that they deserve. As we have said with other cases, murder is not an acceptable way to deal with someone having an affair with your wife.
