The Lone Tree Police Department has identified a suspect in the homicide of a 73-year-old Centennial man that happened Nov. 4 in Lone Tree, and authorities are asking the public for help locating the suspect.
The suspect is 23-year-old James Matthew Neal, who was last seen in the Colorado Springs area and is considered armed and dangerous, the police department said in a Nov. 15 news release.
According to images shared by Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, Neal appears to be a white male with a large neck tattoo and several smaller face tattoos.
There is an active warrant for Neal’s arrest for homicide, according to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
If someone sees Neal, they should call 911 first, the organization said.
Anyone with information that could help law enforcement locate Neal should contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867 or the Lone Tree Police Department’s tip line at (720) 509-1160.
According to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, people with information can remain anonymous and potentially earn up to $2,000.
At approximately 12:25 p.m. Nov. 4, law enforcement reportedly found Michael Lohmeier, a 73-year-old Centennial resident, deceased in a car parked in the 8500 block of South Yosemite Street in Lone Tree.
It appeared he died of an apparent gunshot wound, the police department said.
