LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Authorities in Little Rock are searching for a man they say is wanted in connection to the death of a 15-year-old boy who was shot in the head during a roadway shootout late last month.
According to police, Kamarion Stokes has a warrant for capital murder related to the death of Semaj O'Neal who died five days after being shot on Oct. 27.
Officials said officers responded to 7620 Baseline Rd. just before 5 p.m. on the day of the shooting where police said they found three wrecked vehicles in the intersection.
That's where they said they found O'Neal with a gunshot wound to the head and he was taken to the hospital where he remained in critical condition until his death.
Another 9-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound to the leg, authorities said. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Little Rock police said two other victims showed up at a local hospital a short time later in personal vehicles.
Those victims were an unidentified 17-year-old black male and 19-year-old Kelsey Brown, authorities said. They were both treated with non-life-threatening injuries and released from medical care.
O'Neal's body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
There was no word on what led to the shootings, though authorities said the homicide investigation remains ongoing.
The initial police report describes an unidentified suspect as a black male around 5 feet and 5 inches tall and weighing around 165 pounds. He has a muscular build with black, braided hair and brown eyes.
