Lino Solorio is wanted for the homicide of Melody Ann Rocha. According to Newspapers.com archives and an online article, Melody had been strangled to death and found in her residence's garage. Authorities believe that Lino was an acquaintance of Melody who had developed an obsession for her. Lino had reportedly told Melody that she may die if she saw another man.
Lino initially went to Tijuana before fleeing to the interior of Mexico. Since there was a lack of an extradition treaty with Mexico in 1993, local authorities wanted Lino to be located and prosecuted by Mexican officials. An arrest warrant for homicide was issued on February 17, 1994.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Rohnert Park Police Department at 707-584-2600 if you have any information on Lino Solorio's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As of today, October 23, 2023, Lino has an active murder warrant in Sonoma County's warrants directory. I checked PACER and did not see an UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for him.
I understand that extraditing Solorio would have been unlikely in the 1990s. It's now 2023 where extradition possibilities have significantly improved between the US and Mexico. I would like Melody's family to finally get the justice they deserve. It's also very important that I posted this case during domestic violence awareness month.
