(WDEF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a public safety alert for the state regarding a man who escaped custody. The TBI is searching for Sean Christopher Williams, who is wanted out of Washington County on multiple charges. Williams faces the following charges: Rape of a child – 2 counts, Especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor – 16 counts, Aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13 – 3 counts. The TBI said Williams escaped federal custody as they were transporting him to a U.S. District Court in Greenville. He escaped custody on Wednesday morning, October 18. Authorities are now offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to Williams’ arrest. Also here is am excerpt from an article which goes into more detail about crimes Williams have been accused of- this case is even worse than it appears on the surface: "Williams is facing more than two dozen federal charges, including child rape, that stem from his arrest on drug charges in April by Western Carolina University police. A search of his electronics yielded images of more than 50 women being sexually assaulted as well as children. Williams until then had not been charged in connection with any of the sexual assaults multiple Johnson City women reported to local police. Allegations publically emerged against Williams last year when a former federal special prosecutor filed suit against Johnson City Police, the city and its former police chief alleging she was forced out of her job after she pressed to build a case against Williams, whom she believed had raped at least 10 women. In June, nine women filed a separate federal lawsuit, alleging that Johnson City police knew Williams was a serial rapist and let him get away with it. A tenth woman recently joined the suit. This case is just friggin horrible if the Johnson county police knew about it that makes it even worse but I won't rant about it because they are just allegations i actually remember hearing about this case he was wanted on some kind of federal weapons charges he was busted about an hour from the city i live in i wasn't aware he had escaped from federal custody and I thought he was in north Carolina was where was wanted from the cases just keep getting worse but the fact that he was wanted on horrific charges of rape and aggravated sexual battery and other things proves what a menace he is

50 to 70 victims. That's more than I suspected Paul Erven Jackson of hurting. Depending on how hard he is to catch, he deserves heavy consideration for one of the two big national most wanted lists. The FBI's Ten Most Wanted would seem fitting since the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's leading the manhunt, but the US Marshals' 15 Most Wanted would be a neat coincidence following the addition of Tamera Renee Williams.

According to an article from wjhl he Is now believed to be in the sylva area which is about an hour away from where I live Ironically which is where he was captured originally being caught by western Carolina University police so anyone reading this make sure you stay safe and if you see this guy call the police immediately and if he somewhere else in western north Carolina stay safe and i hope hd doesn't end up in the county where I live just wish me safety abd the whole Western Carolina area

I know this is going to ruin the surprise- but to promise how seriously I'm taking this manhunt- unless there's an unfortunate breaking news case- Sean Williams will be my first ever yearly #1 Most Wanted fugitive that isn't wanted for murder if he is unfortunately still at large when my top 20 most wanted of 2023 list comes out next month. It's very frustrating he hasn't been caught but this is a positive development. It also says he was born in Florida that could be where he's trying to get to if he's not still in western north Carolina
