Santiago Villa Paredes is wanted for the homicide of his estranged wife, 25-year old Gracie Lopez Paredes. According to Newspapers.com articles, Santiago allegedly strangled Gracie to death with an electrical cord. Gracie recently had a restraining order issued against Santiago. Santiago then took their young son and dropped him off with relatives.
Santiago has ties to Los Angeles and Yuba City in California, as well as Mexico.

Thoughts? As of today, September 30, 2023, Madera County's court records database shows no event filings for Santiago since a declaration in support of an arrest warrant was issued. I checked PACER and did not see an UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for him.
I do hope that Gracie's family will get the justice and answers they deserve. It is unfortunate that restraining orders are meaningless in the eyes of domestic abusers.
