Severiano Martinez-Rojas is the latest addition to the FBI's list of most wanted human traffickers. He is also currently their case of the week, so I figured I might as well make him my forum-exclusive fugitive for this week as well. Below is his FBI case description:
"Severiano Martinez-Rojas is wanted for his alleged participation in a sex trafficking ring. Beginning in approximately 2006, Martinez-Rojas and others allegedly began illegally bringing young girls from Mexico and Guatemala to the Atlanta, Georgia, area with the promise of giving them a better life. Once in the United States, the girls were forced to work as prostitutes. On April 10, 2013, Martinez-Rojas was indicted on sex trafficking and related charges. On May 14, 2013, he was charged with additional sex trafficking and related charges in a superseding indictment. On May 15, 2013, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Martinez-Rojas in the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, after he was charged with sex trafficking and encouraging and inducing illegal entry."
Thoughts? According to the FBI release on the indictments, Martinez-Rojas is the only remaining participant of the ring. He is said to be from Tenancingo in the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico. The release also said the FBI is trying to coordinate with its legal attaché in Mexico City to affect his arrest and subsequent extradition back to the U.S. Obviously, that hasn't happened yet...
