Gilberto Hernandez is wanted for the homicide of 21-year old Robert Salazar. According to Newspapers.com archives, Gilberto and Robert had spent several hours drinking at a labour camp when they got into a fight. That is when Gilberto allegedly stabbed Robert to death.
Gilberto fled the scene but was soon arrested for drunk driving. By the time jail officials got word that Gilberto was wanted for Robert's murder, he had been released. Gilberto has been a wanted fugitive ever since.

Thoughts? As of today, August 28, 2023, Gilberto has a listed homicide warrant in Florida's statewide warrants database. I checked PACER and did not see an UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for him. The online records may not go back that far however.
I realize that it will be difficult to find Gilberto after nearly 30 years on the run. I still hope that Robert's family can get the justice that they deserve.
