Jose Leon Baltazar is wanted for the homicide of Javier Contreras. According to Newspapers.com archives, Javier was a security guard at a bar when he tried to evict an underage patron. Authorities say that Jose then allegedly stabbed Javier to death. Jose has been wanted ever since and was prioritized by a 1995 LAPD-FBI task force.

Thoughts? As of today, August 26, 2023, Jose's 1987 murder case is showing as in "case pending" status in Los Angeles County's court records database. The only event entry was a 2003 "docket line entry" which I looked up the term online and believe it to be a confirmation of the active warrant.
I would like for Javier's family to finally get the justice and answers that they deserve. It's really unfortunate that Javier was murdered while doing his job.
