Santiago Meza Lazaro is wanted for the homicide of Manuel Errera Almieda. According to Newspapers.com archives, Santiago and Manuel were drinking at a bar when they decided to settle a feud that began the previous month. Authorities allege that Santiago shot Manuel to death. Warrants for homicide and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution were issued for Santiago's arrest in 1993.
In 2000, authorities arrested the getaway driver in Manuel's homicide. At the time of the arrest, authorities had no leads regarding Santiago's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As of today, July 17, 2023, Santiago has a listed homicide warrant in Santa Cruz County's warrant database. Santiago also has an active UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case in PACER.
I do hope that Manuel's family can get the justice that they deserve. With the active UFAP case, some renewed publicity by either the FBI or US Marshals Service would be appreciated.
