From wfla.com:
BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are searching for two employees of a Bradenton Tropicana plant. One is accused of walking into the plant Monday night and shooting a coworker, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Demitrius Tyrone Bell, 50, allegedly walked into the plant before 10:30 p.m. and shot another employee, according to police. He left in a 2015 black Camaro with Florida license plate QUQF97.
Police believe there was a dispute between the two employees. The employee who was shot was taken to a hospital for treatment. No other employees were hurt, according to police.
Bell is wanted on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, police said.
On Tuesday afternoon, Bradenton police said they were looking for one of Bell’s coworkers, who is considered missing and endangered. Elecia Nicole Bing, 38, was last seen leaving the facility with Bell on Monday night.
Bing is described as 5’10” tall and approximately 110 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a yellow safety shirt with blue jeans.
Police said Bell has a criminal past. Meredith Frameli with the Bradenton Police Department said Bell will likely face an additional charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm due to his criminal record.
“He shouldn’t have a gun and obviously what he did was incredibly dangerous, incredibly scary,” said Frameli. “We certainly feel for the victim’s family, but also the co-workers. People are just trying to go in and do their job and they shouldn’t have to be confronted with this in their work place.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jeff Beckley at 941-932-9356 or email jeff.beckley@bradentonpd.com. Information can also be left with the Bradenton Police Department at 941-932-9300.
