We’re starting off our list this week with a Cape Coral man accused of molesting and sexually battering a young girl. Ramon Cortes was arrested last month after the victim was able to muster up the strength and bravery to tell her mom about what Cortes had been doing to her over the course of nearly three years. The girl said he would approach her when nobody was around and touch her inappropriately, then offer her cash as hush money not to tell anyone. After an extended time of enduring Cortes’ disgusting actions, she finally told her mom, who in turn contacted police. Cortes was jailed for a short time and only released under the guise that he’d show up for his next court hearing to explain his actions to a judge. But when his name came up on the docket Monday afternoon, Cortes was a no show. This 54 year old fugitive is 5’8”, 190 pounds and was last known to be living in Southwest Cape Coral. And upon his arrest,
Cortes will be held without bond.
