I have a feeling this case won’t end well. FBI and/or USMS need to get his face out there

Although it is concerning Burham may have a firearm, weapon or not- I think overall there was little controversy, but it was clarified anyway when David Sweat was shot (albeit he survived) even though he was running away unarmed that in New York State shooting a fleeing convicted felon and/or someone charged with a felony is technically legal. That person poses a threat otherwise. I know Burham is not convicted yet and escaped from a jail and not a prison, but I'm assuming the same logic is legal here as well because of the danger he poses. He's obviously considered armed and dangerous- but someone that needs to be caught or neutralized by any means necessary as well.
He went peacefully last time- but the question is whether that will happen again.

Sad to say but given the fact he has already shown since his escape that he is willing to engage in violence to avoid detection (the killing of the dog) and that he has a gun, I fear that unless he's taken by surprise this isn't going to end well.

A couple of updates: -It is time for a new fugitive of the week but I am still monitoring the case closely -There was a doorbell video sighting of Burham near a home in the general area south of Warren PA area in the past few days: www.cnn.com/2023/07/14/us/michael-burham-pa-jail-escapee-friday/index.htmlAlso, yeah, obviously this looks like a case that doesn't end well unless he's taken by surprise, but the hope is that no one (besides the dog) else is hurt.

According to the new york times he is back in custody after being arrested in northwestern Pennsylvania and this brings the tale of the three pathetic trio of jail escapees

I have found more insight into what may have led to Burham's crimes. It sounds like he was a heavy drinker. He had been off alcohol for some time, but he was really dependent on alcohol for quite some time. In his note (where he is unrepentant about what he did), he did acknowledge he hadn't been drinking for some time. I want to make it clear: I am not trying to discourage people with drinking issues to stop. I'm just trying to provide information about events leading up to the murder and a possible motive. Here is a link to a story I found:
To go from 0 to 60 as this guy did, and to be possibly linked to one homicide, and allegedly setting the car of another ex-lover on fire shows just how extraordinarily dangerous this man is. This whole crime spree just came out of nowhere.

There were probably warning signs and yes substance or mental health or withdrawal issues- but this is also a guy that is smart- as seen by his escape- and knows right from wrong. Do I think he is a natural born monster? No. But he's still a monster. There are some cases with some sort of mental health issues that evoke sympathy from me (while also not condoning anything) but this isn't one of them- although I understand you're just trying to explain the sudden spree of violence.

The fact that he set his other former lover’s car on fire after she didn’t come to the door not only tells you how lucky she was, but that she almost certainly would’ve been killed that night, too. The Pennsylvania authorities should be commended: after dealing with Ralph Phillips (he was arrested in Pennsylvania) and Eric Frein, they made the arrest without anyone else getting hurt.
