Aline Rivas-Vera is my final AMW fugitive wanted for kidnapping I'm profiling this week. She was on AMW as a web-exclusive case. The following is her FBI profile description:
"Aline Rivas-Vera is wanted for international parental kidnapping in Platte City, Missouri. On March 15, 2006, law enforcement was notified that Chloe Combe-Rivas was allegedly taken to Mexico by her mother without the consent or knowledge of Chloe's father. At the time of this incident, Rivas-Vera and her husband were in the process of getting a divorce. Additionally, on July 3, 2006, Rivas-Vera's husband was granted sole custody, in the divorce decree, of their daughter Chloe. Aline Rivas-Vera was charged with international parental kidnapping on June 28, 2006, and a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri."
Thoughts? It is rather scary that according to the FBI and the AMW archive (link below), Rivas-Vera is considered to have suicidal tendencies. The good news is even the Mexican courts ruled Chloe should be with her father according to the archive. So hopefully that should help legally if we can locate Aline and Chloe. Once again just like Dara Llorens, Genevive Kelley, etc, this is not just a family issue. Aline Rivas-Vera illegally took her daughter. There is no disputing that. I just hope we can find Aline while Chloe's still relatively young. The older a kidnapped child gets, the harder it will be to un-brainwash them. Aline is said to specifically have relatives in Mexico City, so a special alert goes out to forum readers who live and/or visit there.
