OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) – Police have made one arrest and are looking for another suspect in a shooting that left two people dead and another injured. The Omaha Police Department says they’ve arrested 19-year-old Adren Goynes-Wynn for his role in a shooting on Sunday, Dec. 21 near 30th and Meredith in which Jermaine Richey, 29, and Derek Johnson, 27, were killed and Demetrion Washington, 24, was injured. Police say an arrested warrant for first-degree murder has been issued for 20-year-old Harold W. Baker. Anyone able to help police find Baker is asked to call the Fugitive Task Force at (402) 444-4916 or Omaha Crime Stoppers (402) 444-STOP to remain anonymous.Goynes-Wynn was booked for accessory to a felony, according to police. Investigators said a gunman fired more than 20 shots at the three men as they were standing outside near a car. Washington had non-life threatening injuries, but Johnson died shortly after, followed by Richey more than two weeks later. -- Thoughts? Harold Baker is an extremely dangerous fugitive for firing more than 20 shots at three people, resulting in a double homicide. The articles don't mention if law enforcement thinks he fled the Omaha area, but if he did then this site has readers from across the United States. www.jrn.com/kmtv/news/1-arrested-1-sought-in-December-shooting-that-killed-2-injured-1-288867771.html

I mentioned to HeadMarshal in private I was already familiar with this fugitive case and Baker was in my potential case files to post to this site. However, I had no problem with him posting it sooner. In any case, it is likely Baker has fled the area and/or is laying low at a friend's house since he was named as a suspect recently. In all honesty, he's an alleged 20-year old punk and I'd be shocked if he was on the run much longer. I say that and at the same time acknowledge there are a bunch of other fugitives who have also somehow defied expectations where I think eh he'll be caught in a week and it turns into 5, 10 years. So he could always be an unfortunate exception. That's why it's important to get this case out there while it's still fresh in everyone's minds in order to catch Baker.
