Melgin Alvarado is wanted for the homicide of his cousin, 27-year old Ricardo Molina Linares. According to Newspapers.com archives, Ricardo's body was found in a canal. He had been suffocated to death. Evidence at the scene led to Melgin's arrest in January of 2008. Another Newspapers.com article mentioned that Melgin is wanted for failing to appear on a charge of second degree murder.

Thoughts? As of today, December 23, 2022, Melgin has a listed 2008 warrant for "Failure To Appear" in Florida's statewide warrants database. This pretty much confirms he is still wanted for the Second Degree Murder warrant as well. I did not see an UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) warrant for Melgin in PACER.
The Newspapers.com article I read stated that Ricardo was a Guatemalan immigrant. I assume that Melgin is most likely also from Guatemala and if so he probably fled to the Central American nation.
