Two men arrested, warrant issued for third man

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of two arrests made in a homicide investigation.
On Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 8:52 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in the Oak Street and Sumach Street area.
It is reported that:
- multiple gunshots were heard in the area
- officers arrived on scene and located three men suffering from gunshot wounds
- a 29-year-old man from Toronto was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries
- a 27-year-old man from Toronto was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries
- one man was located suffering from multiple gunshots wounds and was pronounced deceased on scene
- the 27-year-old man was released from hospital
- the 29-year-old man is still receiving treatment for his injuries
The victim was identified as Thane Murray, 27, of Toronto.

On Monday, December 13, 2021, police arrested and charged Noah Anderson, 20, of Toronto, with:
1. First Degree Murder
2. two counts of Attempt Murder
On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, police arrested and charged Junior Jahmal Harvey, 20, of Toronto, with:
1. First Degree Murder
2. two counts of Attempt Murder
They both appeared in court at College Park, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in room 507.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Jabreel Elmi, 27, of Toronto. He is wanted for:
1. First Degree Murder
2. two counts of Attempt Murder
Jabreel is described as 5'7", 180lbs, with a stocky build.
Police are seeking the public's assistance locating Jabreel. If located, do not approach, call 9-1-1. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Toronto Police Service Homicide Squad investigators are recognized as leaders in North America for bringing perpetrators to justice for these types of crimes.
Homicide Inspector Hank Idsinga said, “Our investigators do tremendous work every day to solve these cases and ultimately provide answers for families and loved ones. This would not be possible without our communities and the close relationships we have developed. The positive results in this case are a direct result of those relationships. We continue to receive vital assistance from the public and on behalf of investigators, as well as victims’ families and loved ones, we are extremely grateful for this ongoing support."
