According to the Tarrant County court records database, David is wanted for the homicide of 21-year old Marcelo Quilo. Marcelo was killed on July 19, 1997 in Fort Worth. A newspapers.com article mentioned that Marcelo was shot to death in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The homicide was a result of an argument that had started a year earlier.
David was arrested after driving away from the crime scene. He posted bond however and fled.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Fort Worth Police Cold Case Unit if you have any information on David Chavez-Mendoza's whereabouts. Phone numbers for the cold case detectives can be found at police.fortworthtexas.gov/get-involved/cold-cases.

Thoughts? As of today, September 20, 2022, David has a listed warrant in Tarrant County's court records database. The reason that David's warrant was viewable compared to other Tarrant County fugitives that I checked was because he was arrested but fled after posting bond. Tarrant County seems to be a county that does not file court cases unless the defendant appears in court, which would not be the case for most fugitives.
I also checked PACER and did not see an UFAP case for him.
