Jorge Becerril Gonzales is wanted for the capital murder of 38-year old Robert Keith Berger. Robert was in a dry-cleaning business while his wife and young daughter waited in their car. While inside, authorities allege that Jorge Becerril Gonzales and Bernardo Aban Tercero entered through a rear door. Once inside, they robbed the business at gunpoint. One of the robbers got into a struggle with Robert and Robert was shot to death.
After a months-long investigation, warrants were issued for Jorge and Bernardo. Bernardo eventually returned to the United States where he was taken into custody. He was convicted and sentenced to death. He currently remains on Texas's death row. Jorge is believed to have fled to Mexico.

Thoughts? As of today, August 28, 2022, Jorge is listed as having a warrant/not being in custody, according to Harris County's court records database. A 1999 article from the Houston Library's records mentioned that Jorge was also wanted by the FBI for Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution. A search of PACER records showed a September 11, 1997 case for Jorge that is still active. The charge listed is capital murder but I assume that refers to the state charge that led to the federal UFAP warrant.
While Bernando was convicted of Robert's homicide, Jorge still needs to be brought to justice as well. If the FBI or the US Marshals could publicize this case since there is a federal warrant, it would be appreciated.
