variety.com/2022/tv/news/live-pd-return-reelz-dan-abrams-1235288210/Show will be basically a similar format and will be on the Reelz channel. The original cancelation of Live PD left me very conflicted. I support black lives matter and I support the police as well (just holding the bad apples like the ones with George Floyd responsible). But there was apparently deleted footage of a black man shot and killed by police or something like that which was an extremely bad look, understatement of the century. And it was just kind of a difficult time in the country and still is obviously. At the same time Live PD also highlighted missing children and wanted fugitives and helped bring home the former and catch the latter. So for that, I am grateful the show is coming back. And hopefully now it can be more focused on striking the delicate balance of crime and race relations.

OPL debuted last night but was delayed due to technical glitches. I would have forgotten it was supposed to debut anyway though lol.

Watching the repeat now. I am glad they are still doing missing (and hopefully wanted) segments again, Tom Morris apparently wasn't able to return due to "scheduling conflicts." Doesn't feel the same without him but otherwise follows the same format as Live PD so far.

I should admit I was never the biggest fan of Live PD to begin with. Not for any reason other than just like Cops it was hit or miss, it was fun and entertaining when they'd encounter crazies but other times tedious and not much going on. OPL is definitely a good background noise show for me if I have nothing else I planned to binge on but not going to dedicate myself to it like I did with AMW.
