From news12.com: (story from 2019):
It's been 20 years since a Stratford business owner was killed, and his family says it isn't giving up hope the case will be solved.
Walter Procyk was a beloved shop owner, known for his kindness and humor.
Procyk's siblings gather at St. John's Cemetery every July 24 to mark the anniversary of his death. Each trip they pray that they next time, they'll bring news of justice.
On July 23, 1999, Procyk had just closed up his shop, Honeyspot News and Variety, when he was shot during what police believe was an attempted robbery. The 40-year-old died at the hospital the next day.
"I wouldn't go down Honeyspot Road -- where he was killed. I wouldn't go down that road for years," says his brother Andrew Procyk.
Two decades later, the case still hasn't been laid to rest. Stratford police say they continue to work on it, using new investigative techniques and technologies to review old evidence.
A $55,000 reward is still being offered for information leading to an arrest.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Stratford police at (203) 385-4123.

Thoughts? The above story is from 2019 but sadly as of this posting date (January 20th, 2022), Walter's case is still listed as an unsolved homicide on the Project: Cold Case website. A Connecticut Post article from 2019 stated investigators were hopeful breakthroughs in DNA technology, which weren't as advanced in 1999, would help finally identify Walter's killer.
