Wanted to make a thread so we can remember those who died during or after the events of last year's violent attempted takeover of the government at the U.S. Capitol.
Hard to believe it's been one year and some like to pretend like it never happened but unfortunately it did.

My thoughts are also with the officers who are dealing with the mental trauma caused by what occurred on that day.

Hard to believe it's been one year and some like to pretend like it never happened but unfortunately it did. More often, I hear from Ron Johnson (R-WSCN), Andrew Clyde (R-GRGA), and subscribers to the Hodge Twins, that nobody died, that it was a peaceful and good-natured tour, or if they also think Andy Cuong Ngo is anything prophetic, they deflect to the mid-'020 George Floyd protests and exaggerate BLM's and Antifa's death, destruction, and crime toll.

Yeah the whataboutism and deflection among the MAGA crowd is amazing. I literally saw one person try to compare the smash and grab robbery trend to the Capitol Riots. Like a Prada or Gucci bag is the same thing as a police officer's life. They have no real argument so they try to deflect by mentioning something else or posting a meme of a baby crying with the caption "liberal tears" or that lady with the glasses with the caption "triggered" because they have no real arguments otherwise. They're so predictable it would be amusing if lives haven't been lost due to this ignorance.
