Okay so it appears that they've totally taken down the 2014 website for The Hunt which you could actually still look up and view. They still haven't updated the current website with this season's fugitives if they even plan on doing that at all.

I still see the page which has season 1 listed, who is still at large and who has been captured/deceased and if you click on those you will see the same stories from the 2014 website even if the 2014 version itself is gone. I feel that's good enough. Perhaps unlike last year when they listed a bunch of fugitives at once they're only going to upload them to the site before their airing. Gives somewhat of an element of surprise, even though we've figured out a bunch of cases they're planning on airing already anyway. www.cnn.com/shows/the-hunt-with-john-walsh

They have "The Hunt for Yaser Abdel Said" on the Hunt home page now.

I noticed John Walsh said this season will highlight his most frustrating cases over the years at AMW- in other words, guys he wants caught really badly that still haven't been brought to justice yet.
And I noticed Yaser Said, Dan Hiers Paul Jackson, William Greer, and Robert Fisher- all are confirmed or likely going to be profiled this season. And all are or were on his dirty dozen.
Wonder if that will be a theme this season and other Dirty Dozen members are potentially up for a Hunt profile.
The following are the rest of the Walsh's last ever Dirty Dozen list. I don't think The Hunt has enough episodes to profile them all, but perhaps some might be candidates. If nothing else, they jumped to the top of the likelihood list for Season 3 (which is way, way away but hopefully will happen!):
Jason Derek Brown Jose Fernando Corona Berny Figueroa Alexis Flores Elby Hars Andre Neverson
Also, Greisy Valencia was removed without getting caught, so she's a candidate too imo.

Ok we have confirmation on some names- and it looks like we had the Margaret Smith case wrong and she won't be on season 2- or at least on the very, very slight chance she is it's not for the reasons we thought (I'll explain later- I am very, very sorry for the embarrassing error though). The following fugitives are all in the tip link for The Hunt: Megan Everett Tomas Gonzalez Daniel Hiers Paul Jackson Prakashanand Saraswati Also, Timmothy Pitzen, a missing child is in the tip link. And there is a new name (to us anyway): George Smith. We thought the case would be Margaret Smith because this is a fugitive show, we saw a guy on IMDB say he was playing him, and that was the name of her victim (her husband). However, the name in the tip link is George Smith, and I am wondering if it's the same one from the case that was pretty high-profile in the news media of a guy disappearing off a cruise ship. Smith's family suspected foul play, but the FBI closed the investigation without anyone being charged. So in addition to Timmothy Pitzen as a missing child and Jacob Wetterling from season 1, we may have our first missing adult case. (Or possible unsolved murder case, depending on how you look at it). Of course there is also the possibility it's a fugitive we don't know about named George Smith. So could be the cruise ship case. Could be a new fugitive with the name George Smith. We won't know until The Hunt uploads the case before his episode. Such a common name gives many possibilities and it's the reason I shouldn't have assumed Margaret Smith in the first place. My face is red, but looking forward to seeing who they're referring to. www.cbsnews.com/news/fbi-closes-probe-into-vanished-cruise-ship-honeymooner/

New interview with John Walsh on TVNewser. He discusses a few things, Donald Trump's controversial remarks on immigration, who he wants caught the most (surprisingly, he mentions Alexis Flores and NOT Yaser Said, I wouldn't necessarily read into that meaning Flores will be on The Hunt for season 2 though since Walsh didn't say he would be) and about how he agreed to do The Hunt. I did find the following comments interesting: "Then, Jeff takes over CNN. We met and he asked if I’d ever consider coming out of retirement to do something on CNN. I said, ‘look, what’s the minimum? And he said eight [episodes].’ I said, “I’ll do eight. If the eight bomb and I don’t get any ratings, I can ride off and you won’t be embarrassed. I already quit on you once and I don’t want to do it again.” So I did the eight episodes, and at the time I think we were CNN’s highest-rated original series. I loved doing it, I love working for Jeff Zucker and it was really a different experience. Very different than working on prime time network show. Now this year I’ve agreed to do 16." So interestingly, apparently the lack of episodes in season 1 was John Walsh's decision and not CNN's. 16 is still a far cry from the 43 episodes a year AMW did, especially considering they only show 1-2 fugitives an episode and how many people need a court of last resort, but it is still more than most other CNN series. www.adweek.com/tvnewser/why-john-walsh-is-doubling-the-episodes-of-cnns-the-hunt/266974

Learned of another case from a source. The Hunt will have a con artist case in season 2. (Which does add a nice variety of fugitives).

I hope it's Spiral Germ Menace (Spiro Germenis). I was just thinking about him earlier and whether he returned to his native Greece or is elsewhere (I recall reading there is no record of him having reentered Greece under his real name). I was reminded of this when thinking about whether Yaser Said could have gone back to Egypt or ventured elsewhere in the Middle East using a fake passport and if Spiro perhaps did the same vis a vis Greece.

Unfortunately not him (or at least the case I know about will not be him). But I do hope "The Hunt" considers him in the future.

Wonder if JW will somehow find a way to tie in El Chapo's escape to tonight's show. Once again I love The Hunt but this is a problem with it... it doesn't leave much room for breaking news. Granted, he's never been on The Hunt, but he's a high profile (which might be an understatement) former AMW fugitive now at large again. (As of this posting).

I really hope there's a mention of him during the first hour - a few minutes would be nice.

Wanted to also mention I won't get to see either show live tonight- and will have to watch either much, much later tonight and/or tomorrow afternoon. Have them DVR'd. So counting on you guys to give great (non-spoiler lol) updates!
Would be ironic if the search for El Chapo interrupted The Hunt tonight.

TV Guide uploaded a short summary for Episode 5. Aside from Megan Everett they also mention a "Child molester caught in Texas, flees during his trial and starts over again." Not sure if this was mentioned earlier but it sounds like a really important case to profile.

On second thought, El Chapo's been all over CNN and other major media outlets the entire day, so I'm all for letting two hours be devoted to other fugitives.
